oil company is present. Three hundred million pesos
were destined to this project within the framework
of this agreement. Half of the funds will be used for
scholarships complementary to the Loan-Scholarship
Program and the other half to English language training
for students in the Talent Recruitment Program that live
in oil producing areas.
EPM
COLFUTURO and EPM will combine their efforts and
experience to promote the undertaking of Master’s—
and occasionally Doctorate—studies for EPM staff in
areas identified as being of interest for the strategic
positioning of the organization. This will be achieved
through the advice and accompaniment of the
Talent Recruitment, as per the previous co-financing,
provided through the Loan-Scholarship Program.
EPMwill conduct an internal selection process of
candidates for the Loan-Scholarship Program and
provide their endorsement for the start of the EPM
Talent Recruitment Program. COLFUTURO will then
select the beneficiaries from the candidates that
respond to the call for applications in a transparent and
independent manner, based on its rules and guidelines.
To be eligible for this scholarship, the beneficiary must
fulfill the obligations established for loan waivers in
the regulations of COLFUTURO’s Loan-Scholarship
Program, as well as the additional conditions set by
EPM when the scholarship is awarded.
RedBrit-Avianca Scholarship to
Latin American Excellence
Thanks to the initiative and leadership of the 18
associations and almost 1,900 Colombian members
of RedBrit Colombia (Colombian network of alumni
from British universities), the RedBrit-Avianca
Scholarship to Latin American Excellence will be
awarded for the second year running.
The scholarship consists of support over and
above that provided by COLFUTURO. Avianca will
provide a return ticket from Bogotá to London.
The beneficiary will also receive GPB £500 drawn
from the voluntary donations of RedBrit members
seeking to assist students who have excellent
academic standards and who are ambassadors not
just for Colombia, but for all of Latin America in the
United Kingdom.
The recipient of these benefits must be a student
selected from COLFUTURO who has obtained the
highest selection scores in their application for the
Scholarship-Loan Program. Preference will be given
to lower-income candidates.
