Talent Recruitment Program
This programwas created in order to encourage greater
participation from candidates with excellent academic
results who are from public universities and cities other
than Bogota in COLFUTURO’s calls for applications.
The selection process for the members of the Talent
Recruitment is extremely rigorous and focuses on
candidates’ academic level and leadership qualities,
while also taking into account criteria such as
undergraduate rankings and weighted average grades,
as well as other academic commendations and awards.
The Talent Recruitment Program provides advising
and accompaniment to students during the process
of searching for, preparing for, and enrolling in
postgraduate studies in top-level universities abroad.
The experience of COLFUTURO has shown that the
main reasons many of the country’s most brilliant
professionals do not initiate postgraduate studies
are lack of a second language, insufficient knowledge
about how to choose a top-level university, and a
belief that it is impossible to meet the cost of living
and studying abroad.
The Talent Recruitment Program works directly
on overcoming these obstacles by providing
personalized accompaniment and advice through
different means: advising, workshops, information
sessions, grading of postgraduate programs, and
revision of application essays and requirements,
among other things. This process of accompaniment
can last for up to three years.
Through the program, COLFUTURO has set the
goal of strengthening areas such as engineering,
health sciences, basic sciences, economics, social
sciences, education, arts, agricultural sciences and
environmental sciences.
The Talent Recruitment has been operating for eight
years and currently has 1,160 members. They include
students in the final year of their undergraduate
degree and recent graduates who have obtained a
grade average 10% higher than that of their class, who
belong to a research group certified by Colciencias,
who have scored in the top 5% of the Quality
Examinations for Higher Education (ECAES), or have
received the grade of
summa cum laude
or honors.
Academic Advising
This area of COLFUTURO is the entry point for
Colombian professionals who wish to undertake
studies abroad. Its main objectives are as follows:

of selecting postgraduate programs, taking into
account academic standard, destination country
and level of ability in a second language, so that
personal and professional expectations are met.

varied and useful material about postgraduate
education abroad.

Compile reliable and independent information
throughout the year to facilitate the analysis,
grading and classification of universities and
postgraduate programs offered worldwide, in
order to provide excellent academic advice to
those interested.

undertaken by candidates in the Loan-
Scholarship Program for postgraduate studies
abroad, based on different rankings and
accreditations, as well as a detailed evaluation
of programs and universities.
