So that every dollar provided by COLFUTURO is worth even more for its beneficiaries, various
agreements have been signed with educational institutions and universities in recent years.
COLFUTURO has more than 60 agreements through which discounts are offered on tuition fees
from 10% up to 100%, or contributions are made towards living costs while the student is abroad.
DAAD
Through this agreement, Master’s and Doctorate
students who will study in Germany receive a
German course in Colombia of up to three months
(only in the case of Humanities, Law, Economics and
related sciences), and another course in Germany of
up to six months, before starting their studies.
Furthermore, students enjoy all the benefits of
DAAD scholarship recipients in Germany, including
health insurance and third party liability insurance
(covering them and dependents), as well as the cost
of air tickets between Germany and Colombia. DAAD
supplements the assistance provided by COLFUTURO
by up to €16,000, divided across different areas.
Ministry of Defense
In 2008, COLFUTURO signed an agreement with
the Ministry of Defense with the aim of supporting
the education of the best officials in Colombia’s
Armed Forces (Army, Navy, Air Force and Police).
In accordance with this agreement, the Armed
Forces commits to selecting its most outstanding
officials, both in academic and military terms, and
COLFUTURO commits to accompany, guide and
assist them in choosing the best postgraduate
programs, as well as motivating them to prepare
themselves with English skills and participate in the
annual call for applications the Loan-Scholarship
Program. The officials from the Armed Forces
compete under the same conditions as other
candidates with the Foundation’s support.
The Ministry of Defense pays COLFUTURO the
total debt associated with each official. Once these
officials have graduated they return to their country
and are reincorporated into their institution.
During their studies, and their return, the officials
selected in the Loan-Scholarship Program call
for applications will have the same support and
obligations as other COLFUTURO beneficiaries.
Proimágenes Colombia
This agreement assists people interested in
undertaking postgraduate programs related to
the audiovisual industry with resources from the
Fondo para el Desarrollo Cinematográfico (Cinematic
Development Fund, FDC), as decided by the Consejo
Nacional para las Artes y la Cultura en Cinematografía
(National Council for the Arts and the Culture in
Cinematography, CNACC).
