ASPECTS EVALUATED
BY COLFUTURO
Each item is assigned a
percentage and is given a
score from 1 to 5, where 5 is
the top score. Once
evaluated, the items are
weighted, and added to
obtain a final score.
The essay
is graded by an
independent COLFUTURO judge.
The final list is handed to the
Board of Directors
at COLFUTURO,
who, in turn, make a final review and depending on the budget
add or drop candidates in each area of studies.
The GPA
determines the candidate’s academic
excellence in his/her undergraduate studies.
The candidate’s
place in the graduating
class
is given a score from 1 to 5. Then it is
compared with the undergraduate GPA. If the
score of the place held is higher, it is used, and
if it is lower or nonexistent, the percentage is
distributed between the GPA, the program and
the essay.
The target program
is a key element in the selection of
COLFUTURO beneficiaries. Based on the search of information on
rankings, publications and Web pages, among others, COLFUTURO
identifies the visibility of the graduate program at the international
level and gives it a score from 1-5.

applying the selection criteria) are
in order and then they establish the
cut line for each list.
